In New York City slang, brick describes weather that is very cold. It commonly appears in the expression “it’s brick outside.”[1]
Usage
“It’s brick outside. Text me when the car’s warm.” The first sentence is a weather report. The second is the result of field research.
Intensity
“Mad brick” raises the severity. At that point the walk to the corner has been downgraded to a trip to the lobby.
